TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Instructor Employment Status and Payments

All driving instructors operating through Fleetville Driving School (FDS) are self-employed and work on an independent basis. When making payments for lessons, please ensure that all arrangements, including fees and receipts, are handled directly with your allocated instructor.

Please ensure that you have received confirmation from an FDS instructor regarding availability prior to payment.

Fleetville Driving School is not liable for any payments made to an instructor, as the financial transaction is solely between you and the instructor providing your lessons.

If we are unable to allocate an instructor to you, any payment made directly to Fleetville Driving School during the booking process, such as an initial deposit or advance lesson fee, will be refunded in full. We only take payments once an instructor has been confirmed, but in the rare event that an instructor becomes unavailable before lessons begin, your payment will still be returned.

3. Driving Test Readiness and Three Hour Booking

Instructors reserve the right to refuse to take a student to their driving test if they believe the student has not yet reached the required test standard. This includes the right to refuse use of the instructor’s vehicle and to decline accompanying the student altogether. For clarity, a driving test appointment is treated as a three-hour booking, covering pre-test preparation, travel time, and the test itself. This policy ensures safety and upholds the standards expected by the DVSA.

2. Refunds for Unused Lesson Hours

Any unused lesson hours may be refunded where a reasonable cause is provided. Refunds will be issued for the remaining balance of hours not taken, provided the request is made directly to your instructor and meets the conditions agreed at the time of booking.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

We require 48 hours’ notice to cancel or rearrange any driving lesson or test booking. Lessons or test bookings cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged in full. This policy applies to standard lessons, block bookings, and driving test appointments (including the three-hour test booking).
